Welcome all to join, with a reminder that each team can get up to five bonus points on their Round 1 score for attending workshops or mentorship sessions (rubric is out of ∼50 for context)... No bonus for coming to our opening, but it is strongly recommended for teams to get key info + logistics.

And on that note, a reminder that the opening is May 13 (tomorrow/ Saturday) @ 10 AM EST = 2 PM GMT = 7:30 PM IST (link here), with a team-making session @ 5 AM EST in case folks are still looking for teams/ teammates (link here), a super-guest speaker from SURGE innovation taking us through a value proposition workshop @ 3 PM EST (link here) & a movie showing + discussion on environmental racism 8 PM EST (link here, with the movie being There's Something in the Water).

And have LOTS more great workshops/ activities on Sunday too, all linked in that schedule (here)... Plus even more things in the pipeline for next week, will be sure to keep folks posted (Slack invite here :)
