Final Weekend: Reminder of Schedule + Mentors + Last Chance to Find Teammates!
Hi Folks,
It's the LAST WEEKEND!!! 330+ youth now registered from 32+ countries across almost every continent across the world, all except Antarctica... We hope y'all are excited :)
And in case anyone missed our earlie messages, there's SO many incredible workshops on the go, be sure to check out our schedule: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TvVx7gmxBOuz2zhQFssIbD_Ct3-HavBY/view?usp=sharing.
Plus a reminder that you can get BONUS POINTS for taking part in workshops + mentorship. Max of 5 such points, 1 each if at least one team member attends a worksop + 1 for talking advantage of mentorship opportunities in general... But honestly, don't do it for the points but because of the learning + networking + guidance, they really are fun & have been receiving some great feedback.
And there's honestly SO many incredible things there, but will highlight three remaining events:
- Saturday, May 20th @ 3 PM EST: Where Do I Even Start? How to Navigate Resources as an Innovator
- Sunday, May 21st @ 10 AM EST: The Importance of Indigenous Knowledge Systems: An Intro to Two-Eyed Seeing, the Medicine Wheel & More - Joined by the Anishinaabe youth innovator Keira Essex
- Sunday, May 21st @ 3 PM EST: Getting Ready for the Pitch: Starting with Why & Getting Your 4-Minute Video Together - This could be an extremely useful workshop for those looking to get their videos together & will involve a close run-through of our judging rubric as well.
And there's a VERY limited number of mentorship slots left, details/ booking here:
FINAL NOTE: This is oue LAST CALL for folks sharing if they need teammates or teams... Please reply to this note ASAP if so, as we likely cannot accommodate any requests made after today at midnight PST.
It means a lot for folks to sacrifice so much of their time/ weekends in a joint mission to create change for climate change... Thank you for being a part of this hackathon experience!
Many thanks & kind regards,
Shitangshu
