THANK YOU for a Wonderful Finals + PUBLIC CHOICE AWARDS (Voting Ends Soon)!
Hello Climate-Change-Makers,
WHAT A FINAL... It was SO inspiring to witness the amazing projects that presented at our grand finals yesterday & equally inspiring to check out the 25+ other submissions that judges considered in our first round. We are gobsmacked by the level of ingenuity, passion & innovation that our teams were looking at, with such a wide varity of projects, ranging the world from Vancouver, Canada to Jakarta, Indonesia. To all who participated in any way, THANK YOU & keep an eye out for our official prize announcements soon in a separate post (already shared on Devpost in case anyone's interested :). And one more BIG reminder in case you missed it... Our PUBLIC CHOICE AWARDS are live till tomorrow/ June 6th @ 12 PM EST (giving a couple extra hours for timezones), with key steps to vote below: 1) Follow the @youthimpactchallenge and @taketheoathe on Instagram for your votes to count. We will often check to make sure this happens... And if you're one of the 11 participating teams (note that these are all teams that opted in to be a part of the public choice awards, but just send us a quick note if you want to be considered too), be sure to advise any folks supporting your projects to give us a follow as well.2) Like the video you are voting for (one vote per person on each platform, i.e. two available votes across YIC + OATHE combined, with vote totals from the two accounts added together to determine our overall winner)... And folks especially encouraged to share about their projects + the hackathon on their stories/ elsewhere, as we'd love to get word out about all the cool work happening during our challenge! And even if there wasn't public choice stuff happening, our two orgs are definitely both worth a follow, especially to stay in the loop with future events like this, with the Youth Impact Challenge for example doing a summer competition for Canadian-based projects making social and/ or environmental impact. STAY AWESOME folks & cannot wait to share results in just a couple days... Thank you all for making an impact for our climate, each in your own unique ways! Many thanks & kind regards, Shitangshu & Team --- Shitangshu Roy (He/ Him/ His) Program Director, Youth Impact Challenge President & Co-Founder, the OATHE Project Facebook | LinkedIn | Instagram
